Trust Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary
The Vale Academy Trust held a 10th Anniversary celebration last month at St John's CE Primary Academy in Grove in the form of a song, dance and music festival.
Over 100 children from across all year groups represented each of the Trust's nine schools, coming together for the afternoon to share in the celebration.
The Trust formed in 2013 with just three schools: Charlton Primary, Wantage CE Primary and King Alfred's Academy. St Nicholas CE Primary School and Millbrook School joined in 2014. In 2016 St James CE Primary became part of the Trust.
The following year, two Abingdon schools, Larkmead Secondary School and Thameside School came on board and the Trust's Central Team moved to its own office base at St Mary's Convent in Wantage.
The Primary School site of the Trust's ninth school (which will be an 'all through' school) St John's CE Academy, opened to children last September.
Each school within the Trust retains their ethos and uniqueness whilst working together as a strong, single multi academy trust.
The Trust’s Director of Education, Hazel Pittard, said: “It was a really joyous occasion – the perfect way to mark this important milestone. I’d like to congratulate all the schools on their wonderful performances and also thank the team who put this fabulous event together”.
The Trust would like to acknowledge the support of their catering services partner, Edwards and Ward, for kindly making celebration cupcakes for each child to take home with them.
