Gordon is Deputy Director of Education at the Oxford Diocesan Board of Education (ODBE) with responsibility for procuring major capital projects and new schools, managing school organisation issues (including academy conversions & developments), financial planning/monitoring, project management, admission & appeals and various school legal matters. He has been involved in the education sector within Oxfordshire for the last 32 years and has governor experience since 2008 including Chair of Governors & Chair of various committees at a number of schools.
Gordon represents the corporate ODBE as a member on the Vale Academy Trust. The ODBE has 283 schools spread across 9 local authorities and over 15 multi-academy trusts. It seeks to have positive and constructive relationships with all of its partners for the benefit of all pupils.
Steve Quinton

Steve is a retired engineering manager. He maintains a keen interest in science and technology and is a visiting scientist at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. He also volunteers for Oxfordshire Business Enterprises which provides a free advice service start-up businesses. He lived in Wantage for 40 years and his children were all educated in local primary schools and at King Alfred’s Academy. He has served previously as both a governor at King Alfred’s Academy and as a director of the Vale Academy Trust. He currently lives in Abingdon and divides his spare time between photography, travel and grandchildren.

CHRIS FERGUSON

Chris is the Estates Bursar at Trinity College, Oxford. He is a qualified accountant. Prior to joining Trinity, he worked as a finance director in both the property sector (the Englefield Estate) and professional sport (the Jockey Club and Gloucester Rugby). Chris and his family have lived in the Wantage area for 32 years. His children were educated at Charlton Primary School and then at King Alfred’s Academy. He served the Vale Academy Trust for ten years, first as a governor at King Alfred’s Academy and then as a director on the Vale Academy Trust Board.
